Again we are really happy to present you two new artists to Basswalk, Chris-T & Matu, who brought us a fantastic four track ep with nothing else than true club groove. Are You John Wayne is the first track and presents solid rhythmic base that gets perfectly complemented by the strong bass line under it, creating an excellent base for the vocal arrangements that closes this track beautifully. With Respect!, we have again a track built over a long vocal phrase, but this time expressed in a stronger way with a powerful groove behind it and perfectly placed percussions with subtle ambience fxs. Six Years is one of the most underground tracks of the ep, with a funky groove in the low end and percussions. It also includes dark vocals and ambiences that all together create an almost hypnotic and really beautiful ambience. The last track, The Doctor, is most experimental one as it plays a lot with the percussions and some glithchy sounding base elements, but never leaving behind the characteristic and solid groove that these two great artists have been presenting in the previous tracks. To close this super groovy ep we have the remix of a great Italian and Basswalk producer, Fabio Ferro, who went firmly through the tech house road and created a fantastic club re-work of The Doctor with his already know skills to blowing up the dance floors. A terrific remix that rounds up an amazing ep completely aimed to the club lovers.
