Ari El & George Lukin make their entrance to Basswalk in a big way with two energic club tracks. The first one Soul Killa, the one that carries the EP name, has a rich base created from many perfectly placed sounds, with a prominent bass line and percussions that lead the track to a great break full of dark vocals and ambiences to culminate in a powerful explosion. Firedrill has rare groove, yet with a more techy approach than the previous track. With a fantastic arrangement of the base sounds, the main synth and string lines complements perfectly with the vocals reflecting a false simplicity on this track, which has none of it. You can definitely hear the hard work of these two producers in here. We are also very proud to welcome Butane as first remixer for this ep, with a dub version of Soul Killa. This remix shows a complex work in the low-end and percussions, wich are the main element with the subtle addition of the original vocals in the perfect moment. A really great underground track that has a refreshing synth melody starting at the break, that really helps us get to the end of this fantastic remix really softly. Last and not least, DJ Fronter has his own version of Firedrill with a well-made club remix, which has killer low-end groove that carries out this simple vocal through a ground shaking uplifting break. The work made in this break is simply great, it can put anyone hands in the air with its simpler tech house vibe. Nothing wasted on this amazing remix.
