We are very happy to introduce you to a new artists to our rooster, Background, who have delivered four amazing tracks for his Old Lovers EP. The first track, Likely, presents an apparently simple but quite effective groove, made from delicate and subtle articulations in different layers of combinations with also another vast amount of ambience sounds full of fxs and details. The second track, Old Lovers, has a much more techier approach than the minimalistic one of the first track, with the addition of a very groovy base and bass combination working in perfect harmony with the dissonant melody in the backend created by a distorted and filtered and synth line. The vocals do their part here too sounding few times with the right amount of fxs to make them different each time and draw the attention when needed. Keep On Moving, the third track, has a true deep minimal vibe with a slower bpm than the previous tracks, but also with a deeper bass line and base arrangement filled with the right amount of drum fills that creates a special groove for warm up at big parties. Rain Metallic, the last of the fourth, is the one with the strongest and happier vibe from them all. The groove elaborated with the powerful bass line as main element and a subtle combination of short cuts during the progression of the track, are the elements responsible for the true minimalistic style where subtle variations over many replays help to create a true hypnotic ambience. The filtered vocals in combination with the distorted synths during the break gives this track a cool moment of relax while it gets right back into business. This is for sure a more than interesting club aimed release for Background's debut at Basswalk.
