Matthew Ash brings us his first solo ep at Basswalk with a superb three track selection of the best tech house and techno grooves. La Bacca presents an amazing work with both vocal lines. The lower one includes reverse phrases in very low pitch, which creates a scary underground effect, but an incredibly hypnotic short vocal line is what brings the party mood to this track. The straight bass and synth stabs are perfectly placed to create a cool deep vibe with a techno soul. Secret Love is the one with that haves the bigger tech soul. Subtle vocals and a groovy base line prepare this track to end up in a great uplifting break. The synth line starting just before the break is the one that guide this track to its end in a very refined way. At last we have What Harvest, which presents a powerful techno structure and bass in a very simple and groovy way. Greatly placed fx and pitched synth stabs defines this track's vibe creating a super deep, yet strong and involving ambience, which completes this track and ep soul perfectly.
