The Italian duo, White Brothers, have brought us a powerful and dark techno ep including two amazing originals and three mind blowing remixes. Dark Modulation combines a hypnotic percussion line with a strong and groovy bass line. This combination of sounds, plus the pitched down vocals, gives this track a truly underground vibe. In other hand we have Boing, which is by far more classic techno style than Dark Modulation, specifically talking of the structure and construction of the track. It has many very well placed cuts and backs and also, an elaborated base that reflects a very energic groove, yet without leaving behind all those modern and cool sounds that we love to hear today. As first on the remixes, we are very proud to welcome Tony Dee to Basswalk with his delightful re work of Dark Modulation. On it he shows a very strong groove created with incredibly trippy ambiences, which are followed by occasional strings and a leading synth line that perfectly matches with the vocals, so that way we can still appreciate the full vibe from the original track. The second remix of Dark Modulation, comes by the hand of the Re Us duo, who gave this ep a tech twist with their club aimed remix. A cool base and funky bass line, are the leading elements of the whole track, which softly evolves and immerse us into a hypnotic trip, full of subtle tape delay fxs and delicate reverbs that concludes in a cloudy break down and a powerful back. Another amazing remix is the one that Italians Mad_Us prepared for this ep with Boing. A completely ground shaking bass line is what sets the trail for the vocals, that mixes perfectly with the percussions. As it wasn't enough, this remix has also two different big breaks. The first one concludes in a very simple base groove and the second one in much more dense and uplifting construction, yet both of them will blow up any dance floor that can experience their backs. A really must have ep for any underground techno lover.
